I saw Ricky Henderson last week at Home Depot in Emeryville. He was standing near the entrance when Sam and I walked in, and it took me a moment to realize it was him. As we walked around, he seemed to be wandering behind us, asking for help unsuccessfully, until an employee finally recognized him.
"Riiiiiicky!" the guy shouted. "What's up man, Ricky needs some help," he said a bit sheepishly. "You know I'm lost."
He then proceeded to ask if he could have the correct screw he was looking for pointed out to him, and we bought a 100 ft. extension cord and a chalk line leveler. I wonder if he has a twitter. He looked like he could still play.
It was a very thrilling encounter.
